I was so incredibly blessed to have my lovely friend, Grayson Evans, come visit me while on this trip! She and her sweet family are missionaries. They recently came back to the States after being in Guatemala for the past three years. They needed a place to live while here until they moved to the Dominican Republic for more mission work. We just happened to really hit it off the first time we met. Ahh, I love this girl. Even though we had only met each other twice before we left in May, we kept in touch and I feel as if I have known her my whole life. We are so much a like, but then so different at the same time. One awesome thing we both love is sewing! Yay! Sewing together was such a blast the past 2 weeks. I so loved her being with me. I am praying that we will be able to see each other again before she and her family leave for the DR sometime in the next couple of months. Anyway, she was with us for 12 days. She flew in to Seattle and flew out of San Francisco. Here are some pictures:
We picked her up at the Seattle airport at 7pm on Monday, the 13th. Then we toured downtown Seattle and bought awesome postcards.
Weeding the sidewalk at the Jubilee Community Center in Seattle.
Wheeeee :)
Helping out at the thrift store in Seattle!
Extra huge trees! (I will be posting more about these trees later!)
beach!
sewing!
Stuffed in the back seat.... for 12 days.... on 6, 7 hour trips. fun.
I am actually taller when I stand on the curb!
Olive Garden ;)
Dropping her off at the San Francisco airport at 8:30pm on Friday, the 24th. It was sad. But I'm glad she's home safe and with her family again. She couldn't wait to get home and help plan her brothers wedding ;) hahahaha...... wink wink
So, as I was posting these pictures, I realized that most of them are just pictures of the two of us ;) Haha, but that is okay! I'm so glad she was able to come! I wish she could just come back and stay until we get home! Doubt that'll happen ;P
It feels a little funny to be commenting on a post about me but- I had to! You are such a sweet friend Lydia! I look forward to all the super fun times God has in store for us :) love you!
