Jekyll Island, GA

Well we are back in Georgia.

Had to stop for a Starbucks, of course :)

     We are here!

Set up a canopy tent. I call it my Sewing Laboratory ;) and I made a pair of shorts. Actually, I made several pairs, but I only have a picture of these.

We went to St. Simons on Tuesday. We ate at Bubba Garcia's for dinner. I had nachos. It was tasty.

We went to the pier after we ate. Some men were shark fishing and they caught this sting ray. It was huge!

 Beautiful views;)

On Wednesday there was a huge storm. The campground got hit pretty hard. Trees snapped and were everywhere. We were at church where a tree caught on fire while we were singing Victory in Jesus. It was interesting.

One tree fell straight into a metal picnic table.

On Friday, we went to Brunswick and helped out at the Manna House. It is where homeless people come to eat. The Pastor at the church we went to on Jekyll Island started it back in 1983. It was an interesting experience.

Trying out the food. It was good:)

All the people who helped. These people are a Sunday school class from First Baptist Church of Brunswick. Each day of the week, a different Sunday school class comes to help. It was fun getting to know these people.

This lady was doing "live demos" on making cool, fun things with glass. It was interesting to watch. She made three different things in the 30 minutes we were sitting there. It was neat.

Sunday morning, we packed up the camper and drove it to the church. We went to Jekyll Island Baptist Chapel. It was great. My sisters and I even sang. After the service, the men of the church cooked lunch for all the ladies. We stayed and ate with them.

It was a good week.
