We left Tuesday evening around 6:30. We stopped in Hazelhurst, GA to sleep that night, then got up the next morning and headed down to St. Augustine, FL. We stayed at a campground about 20 minutes from town for 2 days, and then moved to a different campground closer to town yesterday because the ticks really loved mom.
Thursday we went to see Daytona Beach. We went to Ponce De Leon Springs Park and saw the De Leon Springs, of course. We ate "brunch" at The Old Spanish Sugar Mill Restaurant. You can cook your own pancakes at your table, which is what we did. They were delicious.
Took our picture by a big tree.
The "Fountain of Youth" ;)
Today, we went into the town of St. Augustine. It is beautiful. The town is so pretty. We walked everywhere. We saw lots of things, ate yummy food, and ice cream.
These next two pictures are pictures of Flagler's College. This College is beautiful inside. There is a lot of history that goes with, but I do not have time to write all of it.
Went dancin' in a back alley ;)
This is the back side of the fort in St Augustine. The Spanish built it to protect the town.
When we got back to the camper after a long day in St. Augustine, we sat around a while and took naps. Then we went swimming in the campground pool :) The sun was definitely in my eyes.
Tomorrow we will be going to Grace Pointe Baptist Church. It is about 2 miles from the campground. It is a small, family focused church. I am excited.
Oh my goodness!! Yall look to be having a great time. I'm so glad. Loved the pics. Keep them coming. It will be like we get to go with you. We had a good day at church. Missed my buds. Fixed Katies hair in twists like Maybeths and she was sad when we got to church cause she wanted to show her her hair. Praying for your safety. Love you! Hug all for me please
